Rules & Policies

• A non-refundable deposit must be made to secure your booking. Failure to make a deposit may result in your event date being booked by another customer.

• Deposits will only be refunded if Cheeky Chops must cancel the booking for unavoidable reasons.

• In the event that you need to cancel the booking, we will endeavour to work with you to transfer the deposit to another date.

• Deposits are waived if Cheeky Chops has paid a stall fee or donated to be an entertainment service or vendor at any event. 

We take health and safety very seriously. Failure to do so will invalidate our insurance and tarnish our reputation.​

Below is a list of our non-negotiable rules for health and safety compliance.
 

• We cannot paint children three years old or younger.

• Care must be taken to avoid cross-contamination. We reserve the right to refuse service to persons displaying symptoms of a contagious illness. This includes but is not limited to impetigo, chicken pox, open wounds, cold sores and colds/ flu/coronavirus.

• All of our products are FDA and EU-compliant, however, we cannot guarantee that a reaction will not occur, in the event that a reaction does occur seek medical advice promptly. 

• Face paint should be removed using warm soapy water. It is not advised to use baby wipes for removal. 

• If staining occurs do not rub vigorously. This may cause irritation. Instead, use an oil-based product such as a cleansing balm or coconut oil to lift any staining gently.

• We will only work with willing participants. If any persons say no or show unwillingness we will accept that as final and refuse service. 

• Queue jumping / arguing / fighting / verbal or physical abuse towards our staff will not be tolerated. You will be refused service. 

• Tampering, touching or playing with any equipment belonging to Cheeky Chops is strictly prohibited. 

• We implement a 3-strike system. A refund will not be issued in the event that Cheeky Chops staff deem it unsafe to continue working after 3 strikes. We will, of course, allow the event organiser to rectify the problem before terminating the contract.

• We strictly will not work alongside a secondary face painter or vendor offering similar services to ours. This can be pre-arranged in which case Cheeky Chops will seek a secondary artist. If we arrive to find an unknown secondary vendor we will terminate the contract with immediate effect. 

• We require access to water and toilets at all times.

• Cheeky Chops staff are entitled to a 15-minute break every 3 hours.

• For outdoor events, it is entirely at the discretion of Cheeky Chops staff to decide upon whether the working conditions are suitable. This includes ground conditions, space, weather and customers.

• Deposits must be made no less than 7 days prior to the event.

• Final payment must be made within 3 working days of the event date. 

• Failure to make payment will result in legal action being sought to reclaim the money owed.

• Additional hours are chargeable at £20 per hour.

• Mileage is chargeable at £1 per mile thereafter 7 miles from the artists address.

• Fees may be incurred if equipment belonging to Cheeky Chops is damaged or broken during the event by the event organiser, the event attendees or any third parties.

• Cheeky Chops, in no event, shall be liable hereunder (whether in action in negligence, contract or tort or based on warranty or otherwise) for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages incurred by the customer, attendees, or any third party, even if the customer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

•   Simplified, Cheeky Chops will not be held liable for any damages caused directly or indirectly by any services provided. This includes but is not limited to, staining, irritation, or allergic reaction. 

• All images on our website and our social media platforms have been obtained with permission. Images are therefore not to be transferred or used anywhere else without first obtaining the permission of the person within the image or the copyrighted owner, Cheeky Chops. 

• All designs of facepaint and or any other works displayed on our website or social media platforms are solely the designs and works of Cheeky Chops and are not intended to be used, copied or re-created. 

• If any persons wish for their image to be removed from our website or social media platforms Cheeky Chops will comply promptly. 

Failure to comply with the terms and conditions outlined by Cheeky Chops may result in termination of the contract. It is the responsibility of event organisers to ensure all guests follow the health and safety rules.​
